2021 Spotlight Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Nick Nelson. My goal is to play golf at a Christian university where I know I would be competitive and also continue my faith journey. I would like to play golf competively after college.
I really started getting competitive in hold two years ago (I am 17) because I was playing traveling AAA baseball until I was 15. I am playing golf full-time now and my handicap is already under 1. My Ghin # is 10407644. I come from a family with a golf legacy. My uncle is a head pro and my grandpa was a head pro for 40 years. He was the MN Section PGA Professional of the year in 2004 and he played in a PGA Championship. I made all conference this season and in fact is was my first season of golf for high school and I made varsity. I finished top 5 and top 10 in most events.
I would like to attend a college in the South.
