My true passion in life lies in golf, having first swung a club at the age of 2 and playing in my first tournament at the age of 5. I’m especially interested in playing highly competitive collegiate golf, with the ultimate aspiration of playing professionally, or working within the golf industry.
I feel my work ethic, determination, coachability, golf IQ, and experiences playing both individual and team sports would make me a valued team member. I have competed in multiple sports including baseball, basketball, bowling, football, and golf. In addition to teamwork, I feel these have collectively taught my body flexibility, strength, maneuverability and, most of all, hand-eye coordination.
I am currently a high school junior and have a 3.969 GPA (4.0 scale) and have achieved A honor roll status throughout high school. In addition, I was recently inducted into the Minnesota Honor Society (MHS). MHS selects students who excel in academics, leadership, service, and character.

Missed automatically qualifying for State Open Championship by 1 stroke but secured an alternate spot via playoff win. - Shot 2-day total of 162 (82-80). Yardage: 6678 Rating: 73.7. Finished 3rd out of 38 players. Day 1 was the most difficult round of golf I've played, with steady 25-30mph winds gusting to 50mph and greens rolling at a stimp of 12. Unfortunately I had a difficult time getting off the tee this tournament, hitting only 13/28 (46%) FIR but was able to stay in it by successfully flighting my irons and wedges through the wind to hit 19/36 (53%) GIR, including 7/8 (88%) Par 3's. Putting was challenging on day 1 where I ended up 3-putting 4 of the last 5 greens, but rebounded on day 2 with a total of 30 putts and no 3-putts. My main focus moving forward will be to dial-in my driver so I can use my length to my advantage. My difficulty off the tee vs. my iron play for the weekend was noticeably reflected in my playing of par-5's at 5-over, while I played the par-3's at 2-under.

- Shot 2-day total of 154 (80-74). Yardage: 6764 Rating: 73.7. Finished tied for 15th out of 54 players. Very pleased with my ball-striking overall, hitting 20 of 28 (71%) FIR and 6 of 8 (75%) par-3's in regulation, however, I finished day one only hitting 4 of my last 11 GIR (36%), which turned an even-par round into an 8-over round. I hit 12/18 (67%) of GIR on day two, leading to an overall GIR of 58%. Happy with my putting this week as well, finishing with 30 putts each day. Unfortunately, 2 holes diminished an overall good weekend of golf (ie. finished tournament at +10 despite 2 triple-bogey's). Will continue to work on approach-shot consistency to improve my %GIR leading to more birdie attempts.

- Shot 2-day total of 154 (76-78). Yardage: 6715 Rating: 73.7. Finished tied for 1st (losing in sudden-death playoff) out of 17 players. Happy with my overall ball-striking off the tee, hitting 20 of 28 (71%) FIR and 5 of 8 par-3's in regulation, however, I only hit 22 of 36 (61%) GIR along with an average of 33.5 putts/round. I attribute this at least in part to 15-25mph+ winds and greens still being in winter conditions. Great improvement overall though from my earlier season tournaments.

- Shot 2-day total of 162 (80-82). Yardage: 6718 Rating: 72.2. Finished 18th out of 35 players. Mid-to-long iron contact not up to my expectations, putting me in difficult scrambling positions, particularly on par-3's, which was reflected in my par-3 scoring average of 3.88.

Happy with my putting but overall too poor of ball contact in difficult scoring conditions leading to too many penalty strokes on tight, water-laden course. Most disappointing was my 6.0 scoring average on par-5 holes, which typically are to my scoring advantage.
