My name is Gaige Lewis and I have enjoyed golf basically all of my life. Golf has not been my primary focus until recently, because I have been playing high-leve travel baseball. In October of 2020, I decided to transition my focus from baseball to golf because of my deep passion for the game. I've had a taste of success so far this year with 4 top 5 finishes over 6 tournaments during my high school career, including a win at my first ever high school tournament. I'm fully determined to be the best that I can be both on and off of the course. I try to practice at least 3 hours a day by either hitting balls, putting, or just simply going out and playing some golf. When I played baseball, I played more innings than anyone on my team because I could play all positions. That athleticism has helped in the transition to golf and I look forward to what the future holds. I would say I'm still a raw talent but I'm working hard to learn how to manage a course. My swing speed is elite (125mph+) and it really shortens the course for me. |
