Ever since I was a young child, I grew up on the golf course playing with my father and grandfather every day. I quickly realized, my heart was on the golf course and I had aspirations of playing at the collegiate level.
My father played golf at the collegiate level and he has told me at an early age the hard work that it takes. I have always been willing to put in the time to practice and work on weaknesses. I am a coachable athlete and always receptive to suggestions to improve my golf game and a positive teammate. I take notes as I play to help my mindset and to keep my focus, even if I had a bad hole; the next hole is a new drive to be my best.
I have played team sports since a young age and I found myself a leader and always willing to help my teammates. My mindset is that I can work to do and be better than the day before.
I would like to attend a 4 year university and major in Business Agriculture. Throughout my high school career, I have played sports year around and still made my school work a priority. I am willing to get help in the classroom where it is needed. I have found that I can prioritize my day between classes, practice, or having to leave for a match.
Knowing that I have the mindset, the heart, and the determination to be a student athlete, the collegiate level is my next step I want to achieve.
