My name is Marcus Eriksen and I will be a senior this up coming year graduation in 2020 from Grand Island Northwest High School. I am a 3 time individual qualifier for the state tournament and this last school year I medaled at every event; including a top 5 finish at districts and a top 10 finish at state.
This last summer season I have played in several events; including a top 10 finish at the Nebraska Junior PGA Qualifier, the Nebraska Junior Amateur, and the Dinsdale Amateur Classic at Riverside Golf Club. In the Nebraska Golf Association Fall Series, I had a T3 and a win. Currently, I am 3rd out of 63 in the current points standings.
In the last 2 months my game has significantly improved; both physically and mentally. As I have competed against numerous NAIA/D1 competitors the past few months, I have held my own and my confidence has grown. My progression has resulted in a current 0.6 handicap. I am really excited for what my future holds.
I am searching to play at the highest level and being a strong teammate, while achieving academic success.
