Personal Statement

I have been very passionate about golf from the moment I started playing at the age of 10 years old. I started competing in 2017 and have been putting countless hours with my coach to work on all aspects of my game ever since. I have been determined to achieve my goal of continuously improving and playing collegiate level golf. My strong work ethics, my positive attitude, my athletic abilities and my ability to adapt easily will certainly make me the ideal candidate for a collegiate golf team.

Won the U-17 division by 4 shots and tied 1st in the U-19 division (69-71) Distance: 6416 CR: 71 SL: 126 First Round: 35-34 Stats: FIR: 12 GIR: 17 Putts: 34 Second Round: 36-35 Stats: FIR: 8 GIR: 13 Putts: 31 Course was set up tough with long rough and sloppy greens. Finished the tournament with 3 good pars after a tough stretch to get the win.

Won the U17 Division and T2 overall in the U19 division (74-74) Distance: 6777 yds CR: 73.2 Sl: 138 First round: 37-37 Stats: FIR: 8 GIR: 13 Putts: 31 Second round: 39-35 Stats: FIR: 10 GIR: 12 Putts: 31 Tough conditions because of high winds, long rough and sloppy greens. Had a good back nine the 2nd day to win by 1.

Finished T45 overall out of a field of 156 and 14th in the U17 division (76-76-76-77) Distance: 7100 CR: 74.8 SL: 139 First Round: 38-38 Stats: FIR: 7 GIR: 9 Putts: 29 Second Round: 34-42 Stats: FIR: 12 GIR: 10 Putts: 28 Third Round: 37-39 Stats: FIR: 5 GIR: 9 Putts: 29 Fourth Round: 38-39 Stats: FIR: 6 GIR: 8 Putts: 32 The course was set up tough with thick rough and fast greens. There was a lot of wind, hot weather and a lot of rain to make it tougher. I would’ve loved to score better but for my first nationals, I was happy that I made the cut.

Score 71-68 – Winner Juvenile Division and lowest overall score in all divisions CR: 71.9 / SL: 131 / Distance: 6616 yds First Round Summary: Score: 36-35 FIR: 8 GIR: 12 Putts: 30 Second Round Summary: Score: 33-35 Stats FIR: 9 GIR: 13 Putts: 28 I was very satisfied with my performance during this tournament. Despite challenging windy conditions, I played consistently throughout the whole tournament and made a lot of key putts to keep my momentum going even after missed shots.

Score 81-82-74 – 2nd U-17 and finished 8th overall CR: 72.0 / SL: 130 / Distance: 6506 yds First Round Summary: Score: 40-41 FIR: 7 GIR: 11 Putts: 32 Second Round Summary: Score: 42-40 Stats FIR: 8 GIR: 12 Putts: 33 Third Round Summary: Score: 36-38 Stats FIR: 9 GIR: 13 Putts: 30 I was a bit disappointed with my 2 first rounds as I struggled to make anything on the greens. I was happy as I came back with a solid 3rd round to finish the tournament. I had the lowest 3rd round in my division and the 2nd lowest overall.

I finished the tournament T31 out of a field of 115 amateur men.
