Personal Statement

My collegiate goals are to find a major that suits me, in the engineering field of study. I would also like to attain a GPA of 3.8 to 4.0 in college. I look forward to playing golf in college and will do my best and work my hardest to be a leading member of a strong team. I am a consistent presence on the golf course in a competitive aspect and a social aspect. I truly strive to strengthen good relationships with my teammates and coaches. I have been golfing since I was 5 or 6 and I finally started to play well my sophomore year, as I attained a 2.4 handicap the summer of 2019, down from a 10 almost two years earlier. I am at the top of my class academically and I strive to do better always. I am a tri-varsity athlete, I am captain of Math Team and student moderator of Chess Club, and I participate in Young Neighbors In Action Mission Trips through my Youth Group. I make a point to dedicate all of my free time to golf outside of school, work, and church. I became the D2 NH Individual State Champion as a senior in fall 2019.

Finished as State Champion, with a score of 77(+5). 42 (+6) on front, 35 (-1) on back. Scored best on the team in Championships, and edged Juan Monckeberg of STA by one stoke. Was a crucial member of the team to lead St. Thomas to a 4th place finish in states. The Saints finished the regular season 20-5 in their title defense season after losing 4 of the top 5 players.

Terrible course conditions the first two days led to an 85-80 start, but with the course drying up, I salvaged a final round 75 to capture 4th place. 85-80-75 (240) +24. Despite the weak start, I was able to play well the final day to avoid a poor finish and had the course been in better condition, I would have come in more similar to my final round all three days.

Started out in 3rd place after Day 1, with a 4-over 75, and finished off Day 2 with an 11-over 81. Finished in 4th place with a two-day total of 156 (+15). Scored second best on the team in Team Championships (Day 1), and was a crucial member of the team to lead St. Thomas to a blowout win over Windham High School to capture their first Golf State Championship since 1971. The Saints finished the regular season 23-2.
