Derek Nahrwold '22 Recruiting Profile

I have a huge passion in the game of golf, and have been playing competitively for 3 1/2 years. My most recent achievements were in my high school season last year, when I individually won the Wall Invitational (after winning the playoff hole) and was a co-champ the very next day at another tournament. I consistently shot in the 75-76 range, and since then have been working hard to better those numbers. Positivity and persistence are key to me, and I have a great work ethic when it comes to drilling hard and not giving up. I currently play on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour for most of my events, and am continuing to sign up for more events, such as the statewide and national amateur events. I generally play at Monmouth County Courses in my area, mainly because they are maintained very well and the conditions are great for me to improve my game in. My average driving distance is 270 off the tee, and I work on being able to shape the ball both ways. My handicap is currently a 3.1.
