Eegan McDermott '19 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Eegan Mcdermott.  I am a 16 year old junior at East Brunswick High School, East Brunswick, NJ.  I am hoping to go to a college that is great academically and if it has a golf team that I can contribute to it would be wonderful to play college golf.  In terms of who I am, let me say that I try to conduct myself in a kind and giving way and I would like to think that the people in my life think of me as a loving son,  a great friend and a supportive teammate.  That is who I am and who I want to be.  I am quietly confident in myself, both academically and in terms of whatever challenges come my way, including golf.  I am doing the work and the extra work that I need to do to be successful.  I am studying independently and with tutors to prepare myself to do my best on the SAT, just as I am working hard this off-season to improve my golf  swing.  To me, it’s about surrounding myself with mentors and coaches and then putting in the work.  I don’t think that I had a great golf season last year, though I did go low on a number of occasions.  I feel that I’m about to come into my own this year and I would ask you to keep me on your radar screen and allow me the opportunity to prove myself to you.
