I’ve never truly took golf seriously. My whole life has been filled with baseball ever since I was little. I started golf roughly four years ago when I was in 8th grade. At that point I just played for fun because I enjoyed playing. It wasn’t until my first high school golf season that it clicked to me, golf was something I wanted to do and be very good at. Due to covid year, I hit this realization pretty late and started working hard to try and make my dream come true. My first season occurred when I was a sophomore with my high school season not going to plan. I averaged low 80s and knew that it wasn’t going to be enough. Over the summer or my sophomore season, I was able to play in njpga tournaments and average 77 in tournament play. As I entered into my junior year, I found out that I should be doing higher end tournaments to get my name out there. My junior season hasn’t been going as planned, especially since my family is relatively new to all this and didn’t know about double booking tournaments. With the opportunities that I have been given, I have not been able to capitalize but I’m hoping to turn it around soon. I’ve been working on my game a lot ever since sophomore year and I feel as though it’s only a matter of time before I start playing the way I know I’m capable of.
