My name is Shelby Williford, I am a junior in high school and I have been rowing for 4 years. I have loved rowing since the moment I started and I've always wanted to row in college. Over the past few years, I have become very committed to working towards that goal. As of right now, I am hoping to go into Pre-Med to become an orthopedic surgeon. While rowing is a big part if my life, school and my grades are also very important to me. I would describe myself as hardworking and determined. I like to set big goals for myself so that I always have something to work towards. I am very driven and focused in both my academic and rowing goals. I have very high expectations for myself to put my best foot forward at practice and races. I think I would be a good collegiate athlete because I have good time management skills and I am committed to my team. I have learned good leadership skills through being boat captain and I plan on taking these skills to college with me.
