As hard as it might be to believe, I actually began playing golf at the age of two years old. Our vacation home in Maryland was on the 2nd hole of a Pete Dye designed course in St. Michaels, Maryland, and we played most every day. My journey in golf continued through playing competitive golf on the South Jersey Junior Tour, and on through junior golf when I played in the PGA Junior league all star team for four years. As a part of that tour, I won Player of the Year three different times, and twice my team made it to the regionals.
My competitive play continued into my teens, and playing for Queenstown Harbor, I played #1 for the Maryland representative PGA Junior League in 2017. That team reached it the regionals as well. For a five year period, I played most of my golf at Queenstown Harbor, and took lessons from Todd Howard, PGA golf. I had approximately 50 lessons with Todd.
Since entering high school, I play the majority of my golf at Laurel Creek in Moorestown, New Jersey. I have won the Laurel Creek Junior Championship twice. The second time I won the Championship, I shot a 34 on the back nine on Sunday, with four birdies to make up a six stroke deficit. Laurel Creek is an Arnold Palmer designed course, and it is where I currently take lessons from David Quinn, who is tied for the club course record with Palmer himself, having shot a 63.
I am presently in my junior year at Moorestown High School. Our team won the New Jersey state title my freshman year, and did so by 13 strokes. Now in 2021, I am projected to play #1 on that team. I also play on the AJGA Tour, the Hurricane Tour, and on the Philadelphia PGA Junior Tour.
I am completely committed to becoming the best player that my ability will allow me to be. I take frequent lessons, work out five days a week at the gym, and have tailored my diet to add weight so that I can add distance to my driving. I also should emphasize how hard I work year round to improve my golf game. Given that I live in a cold weather environment, I have had a hitting net built in my garage. I also have a putting area in my garage. I play year round in spite of the weather. And as often as I can play outside. I am always working every day to improve some aspect of my golf game.
With regards to academics, I am proud to have achieved a 3.6 grade point at Moorestown, a high school with a graduation rate of those who enter four year colleges above 95%. My goal is to major in either business or entrepreneurship. I am as committed to academic excellence as I am committed to excellence in golf.
