Ever since I can remember, I’ve had a lacrosse stick in my hands. My mom, who played DI lacrosse, started playing lacrosse with me since I was a little girl. Since then, my love for the game has grown and I enjoy playing at the highest competitive levels. I’ve been fortunate enough to play varsity as a freshman for one of the top programs in the country. This opportunity has given me the chance to play in games for the NJ State Championship, Tournament of Champions, and the National Championship Tournament. I’ve also been selected to the American Select NJ team in 2021 and 2022. I hope that with continued hard work and determination I can play lacrosse for a strong college program and make a significant contribution to my team and the school.
I have also played competitive soccer for most of my life, playing club and for the NJ Olympic Development Program, and I earned a spot on varsity as a freshman. I think soccer has helped me improve my lacrosse performance because it helps keep my stamina high all year round. All of the footwork drills also help with my overall balance and agility.
Along with sports, I make sure to put academics first and work hard to get good grades. I take several honors classes and hope to be a doctor after I graduate. I hope to find a college where I can be challenged academically as well as athletically. I also want to make a positive impact on my college and its community.
One of my favorite things to do is to contribute to the community. I regularly volunteer at a math center to help students with math and reading, I coach kindergarten soccer, and I coach kindergarten lacrosse. For the past two years I have earned an Exceptional Community Service Hours Award and am also the recipient of the Presidents Volunteer Service Award (Bronze). My cumulative service hours are within the top 5% of my graduating class.
