Personal Statement

Hello Coaches, my name is Logan Morris and I am a senior in high school looking to play golf at the collegiate level. I attend Mesilla Valley Christian school in Las Cruces, New Mexico and play on the varsity golf team. Along side my brother and other teammates, we won the NMAA boys A-3A as a team last year and I won the event as an individual. I look forward to getting to know all of the coaches on NCSA and tell you a little bit more about myself while choosing the best school for me.

Yardage: 6538, Rating: 69.8, Slope: 131, Par: 72, Overview: during this tournament I played alright, I shot a 75 and won the tournament out of about 65-70 players. The conditions during this tournament were pretty good, the wind was only blowing about 10-15 mph with 20 mph gusts, It was clear weather other than the wind. The conditions of the course were also in good shape the fairways and the bunkers were a little rough but the greens were rolling very smooth. Overall it was a pretty good tournament.

Scores: 74-78, Par: 72, Yardage: 6715, Rating: 71.1, Slope: 136, Tournament Recap: during the tournament I would say that I played fairly well especially the first day, the conditions of the course were very nice it was in great shape, they did a good job of making the course play very difficult, the wind was only factor that led to some mistakes it was blowing about 15-20 each day but overall not bad. In the tournament I placed 6th out of 35 kids.

Score: 72, Yardage: 6131, Rating: 68.8, Slope: 137, Round Summary: In this tournament I placed first out of about 14 people, the conditions we faced this day were pretty simple, the wind was blowing about 10 miles and hour and that was it, however the course condition was pretty rough, the fairways were very patchy and the greens were rolling slow. overall it was a successful tournament.

Score: 74, Rating: 71.5, Slope: 130, Distance: 6889, Conditions: The conditions of this tournament were almost perfect, the course was in great shape and the wind was to a minimum, the only downside was that the greens were rolling very slow but otherwise the conditions were semi easy.

Scores-81-74, Yardage-6728, Slope-130, Rating-71.4, Conditions- on day 1 we experienced winds of upwards to 50 mph but overall the course looked great and on day 2 we only played through about 15-20 mile an hour winds but again the course conditions were great. I ended up winning the state championship as a team and an individual as well.
