I've always wanted to beat my dad at golf. What started as a silly bout between me and my dad turned into a desire to be the best golfer I can possibly be. My golf journey started back when I was around 5 years old playing golf in my front yard with the kid next door. I loved getting better and better and figuring out how to hit the ball harder and more accurately. Unfortunately, I took a long break from golf because of the simple fact that none of my friends played the sport. When I returned to golf in 8th grade, it was because I realized that golf was my calling and that I was going to work as hard as possible to be the best I could possibly be. In only 3 years, I was able to get my handicap from an 18 all the way down to a 4 (not counting the fact that living in Syracuse, NY I am only able to play half the year anyway). I've been on the varsity team since 9th grade and made both the sectionals and states every year. My analytical approach to golf is probably my best attribute. I'm always looking for more consistent strikes and more accurate putts. Another good thing about my golf game is that I thrive in team environments where I can learn from others, and help lead and push others to their fullest. As far as academics, I boast a 3.9 unweighted GPA and excel in every class. My favorite courses are mostly business and math classes, which is coincidentally what I would love to pursue in some way. In all, I hope to better my academics and golf at the college level and help a team toward many victories.
