At age 3, I was introduced to this amazing game of golf and never looked back. I was inspired by my grandfather, who is an avid golfer. It started at the driving range and putting green to now playing competitively in junior tournaments. Although my family introduced the sport to me, I have been self-motivated to play and achieve excellence ever since.
As far as my overall character as an athlete, in June 2023, I earned an award for Good Athlete, Good Character, Good Teammate (ACT) at the Jerry Haas Golf Camp at Wake Forest University. I take pride in having a strong character that other teammates and coaches can depend on. In golf camps and classes I participate in, I am often viewed as someone to help others and assist and support when needed. Additionally, one of my golf coaches nominated me for the #1inamillon Golfer; a featured golfer across all Operations 36 programs throughout the nation.
Placed first overall (3rd in chipping) at the PGA Drive, Chip, and Putt Local qualifier at Keith Hills Golf Club in June 2023, advancing to the sub regionals at Duke University in August.
I am very passionate about the sport, and I take the initiative to practice, play, and meet with my coach in private lessons to improve each day. I am grateful to my family for giving me opportunities in this game. With that said, I am now at the age where I am leading this effort to play, practice, and strategize to meet my goal of playing in high school, college, and whatever the future may bring.
