I started playing volleyball when i was 9 years old and immediately fell in love with the game. Volleyball has taught me that i'm quite competitive and dealing with losses has taught me that persistence and training really pays off. Putting in extra hours of practice and conditioning helped my 14u club team finish 14th in the AAU National Championships in 2017. While participating in school volleyball and indoor track i also play sand and club volleyball. Through this i have learned organization and time management in order to maintain my good grades. I plan to take honors and AP classes through high school to help me achieve my personal goal of pursuing medicine in college. When i am not playing volleyball or in the gym i participate in an active social life with friends and volunteer with 4-H. My choice of being a setter has taught me leadership and given me the ability to play a role rather than be in the spotlight. The college that I select will be based on several factors, including quality of the major i pursue, quality of the volleyball program and the ability to share the college experience with my teammates.
