Personal Statement
I am Jarrett Nowak and have had a passion to play golf ever since I was 7 years old. I love the game and work hard to improve my skills every day. I initially began playing the game with my parents and brother. I am now a freshman at North Royalton High School and play on the Junior Varsity team. This past year I recieved the most improved award on my team. I aspire to play golf at the collegiate level. I am confident in my abilities and comfortable to play with or in front of anybody on the course. I'm a leader and try to inspire my team on and off the course.
I am very dedicated on and off the course, but school is my number one priority. In school I have a 4.1 GPA and I am in the honors program. I work hard to achieve high grades. I want to attend a college that will challenge me both academically and athletically.
Golf has taught me that discipline, hard-work, determination, and leadership qualities and traits will help you succeed in life. I hope that each day that I wake up that I will improve my golf game and continue to strive for greatness whether that it is in school or on the course. I seek to find college that is right for me academically and athletically.

- Played at Shale Creek in varsity tournament for school. Par was 71 and I shot a 79. It was wet and humid conditions. The course was playing about 6900 yards

- This was our first school tournament of the year for varsity at pinehills. It was humid and wet. The greens were rolling a 11.5 on the scale. I had 32 putts and shot a 83. The course was playing about 6800 yards.

- I came in second place by shooting an 87 with a 41 and a 46. I got a trophy and this tournament secured player of the year and I got another trophy for that. At this tournament I got invited to the Joe Hasse Cup at firestone with 3 other tours.

- I won by shooting a 85 at Valleyaire Golf Course. I shot a 42 and a 43 but started on the 10th hole. The conditions were muggy, hot, and wet. It rained and the course was soaked.

- I came in second place by shooting a 43. We only played 9 holes because of weather issues. I ended up 2 shots behind the leader. The conditions were muggy and wet.

- I came in second place by shooting a 90 at Forest Hills and a 82 at Grey Hawk. I ended up 2 shots behind the leader. The conditions were fast and very windy.

- I won the tournament with an 88 at Cossett Creek and an 85 at Coppertop the following day. The conditions were hard, hot, dry, and fast, especially on the greens.
