June 2021Personal Statement
I have always been made fun of or people have made the assumption that since I am small for my age that means that I am not able to compete. Over the years I have continued to prove them wrong. I have competed and held my own in baseball, football and golf with other athletes much bigger than myself. Wrestling is the third sport I have participated in since junior high and the sport of wrestling has taught me a lot about winning, losing and how you are part of a team, but it is all you on the mat, very similar to golf. I became interested in golf when I was 5 years old because my grandparents live in Tennessee and were on the golf course and had many courses near their home and my grandpa has been an avid golfer for over 50 years. I really showed more and more interest when I began junior high and it has continued to grow since then. I will do what it takes to improve my game, I am very coachable and get along well with my teammates.
