Golf has been a large outlet and passion for my entire life. Ever since I began playing competitive golf, I have aspired to play golf at the collegiate level. I have dedicated plenty of long nights and practice sessions improving myself physically and mentally. I always strive to work harder and improve everything from my short game to mental attitude. I love all aspects of golf, whether it’s approaching every tournament with a winning mindset or helping lift up my teammates after tournaments or matches in order to make them better. I also enjoy acting as a role model for my other teammates by being an example they can look up to and follow, just as I did when I was a freshman. Setting goals is a huge part of my game and I embrace the difficulty of completing them.
Not only do I spend much of my time and energy out on the course but in the classroom as well. I take academics just as serious as golf by maintaining a 4.0 GPA and taking honors and AP classes. I challenge myself with more demanding classes to help prepare for my future in college. I participate in many extracurricular activities such as being the Vice President of Key Club and becoming a member of the National Honor Society. I engage in other sports by competing on the swim team and playing basketball.
I’m excited to have the opportunity to pursue my goal of playing at the collegiate level and hope to follow in the footsteps of my previous teammates who are currently active in college golf programs.
