I set lofty goals for myself and work hard to achieve them. I am very disciplined in practicing golf all year round. Achieving academically is important to my future and I push myself to take higher-level courses. This semester, I am taking two college courses and I have taken two last year as a Junior.
I have excelled at the sports I have chosen. In 2013, I was the Oklahoma State Champion in all four categories in Tae Kwon Do and earned my Black Belt. I have been on the golf team at Deer Creek in Middle School and High School. I have also played soccer and basketball in elementary and middle school, but golf is my passion.
I am committed to helping others and do this through volunteering through my church and my parent's work. I was adopted from Vietnam when I was almost four. I started Austin's Change for Children as a way to give back to my birth country. This year ACFC raised over $7,500 for educational scholarships for the orphans in Vietnam. Since 2012, my family and I have raised over $30,000, which sent 300 children to school for a year.
