Dylan Murray '27 Recruiting Profile

I began golfing around the age of 7, but also played a number of other sports. So, unfortunately, I began focusing on becoming more competitive at golf a little later than many of the top golfers at the tournaments where I compete.  However, I have a passion for golf and have started focusing more on golf so I can continue to compete after high school.  I want to play at the collegiate level and hope to get an opportunity to play on the Korn Ferry Tour one day.

I am extremely coachable, love working within a team environment and I always want to work on my game.  I strive to be one of the hardest working golfers and one of the hardest working recruits you’ll find.  As a freshman, I made the traveling JV team at North Catholic High School and regularly scored with many of the varsity players.  As a sophomore, I made the varsity team and hope to compete at that level for the next three years as we have a team goal of winning the WPIAL Championships.

As a student, I am continuing to learn how to balance the heavier workload of high school courses while playing two sports.  I am on the honor roll for North Catholic and will continue working hard to remain an honor student.

Outside of the classroom and athletics, I volunteer to help coach my sister's basketball team, as a camp counselor at the youth camp at my former primary school and at various other school and church events throughout the year.

I want to attend a college which will help me advance toward a degree which will help me get started in a career. While doing so, I want to continue competing on the golf course and advancing my golf game. I am open to various types of schools as I am still thinking through which majors might be the best fit for me.  My goal is to find the best possible academic fit which will also allow me to compete at a high level in golf.
