I am a senior at Norwin High School in North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, a suburb east of the city of Pittsburgh. I have been involved in Student Council, DECA and FBLA - (Future Business Leaders of America) since I was a freshman because of my entrepreneurial interests. I have thoroughly enjoyed the business classes I have taken in high school. My goal is to find a college program with a business/marketing curriculum with a minor in communications. I am on an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for an unspecified reading disorder. Dyslexia runs on both sides of my family. Academic achievement does not come easy for me, but I work very hard to maintain high academic standards and have a strong work ethic. With my junior, sophomore and freshman years behind me, I understand the expectations of high school and the time management skills necessary for college to achieve my academic and athletic performance goals. I need to find the right college and coach that will work with me to achieve these goals. I feel I could be an asset to a college team because of my strong work ethic, commitment and leadership skills. I communicate well and am a team player. I am reliable and responsible and make the commitment to achieve my goals. Lastly, I am always eager to help others. I enjoy volunteering and working at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh when I have free time. I love the city as well as rural and suburban campus settings. I am more concerned with aligning myself with a college program where I can grow and excel. I am excited to explore my options over the coming months.
