My goal is to enroll in a top academic school that will challenge me to grow not only as a golfer but also as a person. I want to compete on a team that shares my desire to improve every day. Although I have only been playing competitive golf for three years, in those years I have seen a significant improvement in scores and a stronger understanding and appreciation for the game. I hope that becoming a member of a collegiate golf team will allow me to continue to improve in those areas.
In addition to being a member on the golf team, I play on the varsity basketball team. This enables me to compete during both the fall and winter sports seasons. Being on two different teams has taught me how to compete as an individual as well as a teammate.
I am fortunate to see the life long benefits the game can have as golf is shared through my family; my father played D1 golf, my sister was an All-region, and my brother was a district qualifier. I hope to continue my love of the game by playing in college.
