David Patrylo '26 Recruiting Profile

        Hello, My name is David Patrylo and I am an aspiring colligate golfer. 2024 was the first year I fully pursued golf. In 2023 I was a varsity baseball player which was a great experience that taught me patience and teamwork. I was the starting catcher but also played many other positions on the field. Unfortunately the busy schedule from baseball left me little time to focus on my golf game. As a result, my scoring average that year was about 84 in golf tournaments. Because I knew I wanted golf to be my sport for college, I ended up giving up baseball to fully pursue golf. 

        With a renewed focus to golf, there were significant improvements in my golf game. In 2024 my tournament scoring average dropped to about 75 and I got my first couple of wins. My swing has also become much stronger throughout 2024 I have reached 185 ball speed. One of my goals is to become more accurate off the tee so I can use driver more often to take advantage of my distance. Overall, I am excited for what the future holds and anticipate much growth within the next few years.
