Michael Lugiano '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Michael Lugiano and I love the game of golf. Over the past few years, I have developed a love for the game where all I do is think about playing and how I can improve. Initially, I started playing because of my father and older brother, but now I play because I love it. Golf is the only sport that I'm passionate about. I know I've found my sport when I'm out practicing in 30-degree weather just trying to prolong my season. Being from Northeastern Pennsylvania there aren't many pristine golfing months, but if there's no snow on the ground, I'm at the course. 

2021 was an incredible year for me on the course. I worked on improving every aspect of my golf game and as a result my scoring average improved. I was fortunate to win some tournaments this year against some good competition highlighted by winning the Hurricane Faldo Series United States Grand Final which aired on CBS sports. 

I would like to continue my education at a college with a top-notch Division 1 golf program where I can contribute to the team and compete against the best amateurs around.  As far as a degree of studies I'm undecided right now.
