Hello,
My name is Chase Marie Purdy and I am entering my senior year in high school. I attend Lake-Lehman high school in rural Lehman, Pa outside of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area in northeastern, Pa.
I have played many sports as a youth growing up including lacrosse, softball, track and field, soccer and of course basketball. Basketball is the best as it is the most challenging but most rewarding sport. I will continue to play soccer for my senior year but I will focus on basketball in college. Playing numerous sports, participating in travel clubs, working out with athletic training resources and managing schoolwork have all helped me become a great student athlete.
I have always worked hard in basketball but the last 5 months have been especially rewarding in my physical development and my basketball skills development. My high school team finished a crazy but successful year, winning our conference and proceeding in to the limited district playoff race. I was fortunate enough to be an all star for numerous entities for my contributions to my team and its success. I started playing for a new AAU team this year after the pandemic affected my old team. We had a very successful season ending recently with a 21-6 record and playing very good competition. I am working hard to not only find the college that is right for me but to lead my team to the state playoffs.
I have always been and aggressive player and have learned to use that aggression effectively especially with my inside moves, driving and rebounding. Because I am such a versatile player I can play every position on the floor but I thrive at the 3 and 4 spots. My biggest strengths are driving to the basket, rebounding, seeing the floor well from my 5’10” frame and leading the breaks from my rebounds. I can also shoot the three and continue to work on my pull up jumpers. I also continue to attend an athletic facility to work on strengthening, coordination, speed and skill training and endurance training as I know this is essential to success at the college level.
Thank you for reading my profile. I hope it assists you in getting to know me better and if I would be a good fit for your program.
Sincerely,
Chase Marie Purdy.
