Summer 2020 Update: I have had an interesting summer golf season. Several challenges arose this year. With COVID pandemic continuing to limited local golf opportunities, I golfed in several AJGA and Hurricane tournaments across the east coast and Florida. I am continuing to work hard and continue to develop my game through a solid practice routine and strength/conditioning program. I recently attended a week long camp at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL as a way to improve my overall game, workouts and mental fitness. This has helped me bring all aspects of my game together. With COVID pandemic continuing to limited local golf opportunities. I have been traveling to participate in as many tournaments as possible. I am a third year varsity golfer at Central Catholic High School....hopefully, our season proceeds without interruption.
My collegiate goals and aspirations are to earn acceptance to a university and complete my bachelor's degree in Business with a focus on either project or supply chain management. In addition, this year I am solely focused on earning another 4.0 this year academically and a position on a golf team at the collegiate level.
Growing up as a basketball player has helped me be a leader through wins and losses and form lasting friendships with teammates. I have learned that playing sports is about winning but it is also about relationships. The relationships we build now through sports will last our entire lifetime so, it is a priority for me to build life long relationship with teammates and coaches.
I was brought up learning golf and life lessons at the First Tee of Pittsburgh. Learning the core values and life skills through the first tee program has provided the foundation for my growth as an individual and golfer. I am a natural ball striker who can drive the ball consistently 320-340 yards. Now I am now laser focused on rounding out my game. I have a daily practice regimen to improve my short game and putting skills to get to my athletic potential. My potential is unlimited as long as I consistently put in the time, effort and desire to get my golf game to my highest potential.
I am different than other recruits academically by being a third generation legacy Central Catholic High School student. Central Catholic has a strong tradition and is an all boys elite education. I am thankful my parents have been able to pay tuition for me to attend this prestigious school. I have maintained a respectable 4.05 gpa through my junior year. Central Catholic has reinforced all of the core values I learned in the first tee program; discipline, responsibility, perseverance, integrity and honesty.
I have always loved the game of golf since I was 5 years old. This was the first time my dad took me to the driving range. The feeling of striking the ball perfectly is unparalleled. I love the game of golf. I will work my hardest to continue playing through college and beyond.
