I will be a 2023 graduate of Fox Chapel High School and have played golf all four years of high school. I have been interested in golf since a very early age but really started to focus on it in the last couple of years. I have seen remarkable improvement in my game since joining the school golf team. My first handicap was a 15.4. With hard work and dedication, I have lowered it to .5. This year my focus has been on staying calm and persevering in competitive rounds. I have made drastic improvement in my tournament scoring average--lowering it from the mid-80s to the upper 70's and am committed to continuing to lower that average through school play as well as tournament play. I was proud to finish in second place with a 76 in a tournament at Green Oaks Country Club coming back from a disappointing stretch to push through and finish strong. This Fall I was honored to serve as Captain for our Varsity team. We were a young group but were able to win our section. While we did not advance to State's as I would have liked, I am proud of the leadership I showed working closely with my Coach to bring some of the younger guys along.
I am proud to be a part of my club's inter-club team, which has given me opportunities to play great courses and form relationships with teammates. This is one of my favorite parts of playing golf--making friendships and supporting others--and I think it is a strength I can offer to the Collegiate team on which I will play. I hope to contribute to a Collegiate golf team while furthering my education and am open to just about any location.
