Dear Coach,
I hope all is well. I am currently a junior at Scotland Campus Sports in Pennsylvania, where I play for a prestigious golf program that entertains a national schedule. I chose to come here to get better at my craft and play against elite level competition, some of the best the country has to offer.
As a golfer, my short game is the best attribute I have to offer. It is a consistent threat, as I've been able to master my chipping and approach and putting. These are all aspects of the game I thrive at.
I believe I would be a good candidate for a scholarship because I have a competitive attitude and have performed well at a high level. I've win the Venezuela national championship last year.
I was able to represent the Eastern region of Venezuela, as I was able to establish a high ranking. As a team, we performed in match play championship competing against all the regions of Venezuela.
This season, while playing for Scotland Campus with a strong and reputable strength of schedule, I would envision myself showing tremendous improvement in my long range. I've gotten stronger in the off-season, which has helped me really drive the ball.
Beyond golf, I am a very good student with a 90 average. I took the SAT in May, and I got a score of 1050 . I am interested in learning more about your program and discussing the possibility of earning a scholarship or a preferred walk-on spot on the golf team. My goal and initiative is to play golf on college on some type of scholarship deal.
Any feedback or information about the possibility of a campus visit would be much appreciated.
Thank you,
Diego Sequeda
