Throughout my 4 years of high school I would like to think of myself as an involved student. I would say this for a plethora of reasons. From freshman year to now, my senior year, I have been active with athletics, clubs, and along with those, academically driven to succeed. My goal in high school, along with life, is to strive and push myself to be the absolute best possible person I can be.
Academics are by far the most important thing to me in high school. Stemming back to elementary school, I have always pushed myself to maintain highest honors and that has not changed to this day. I am currently in the top six percentile of my class that has anywhere from 250-260 students. I am also enrolled in two advanced placement class, English and calculus. These classes are pushing me to the peak of my academic abilities and are allowing it to show with my ninety eight grade point average.
Sports have played a major role throughout my whole life, not just in high school. Freshman year, I was the starting goalie on the junior high school soccer team along with starting on the varsity golf team. In my school these are both fall sports which meant I would have to choose which practice to attend here and there. Sophomore year to senior year I was only active in golf. This past season, my senior season, I was a captain. This season I placed t-3rd overall and t-1st in the AAA division in the Tryba Preseason tournament. This is by far my greatest high school golf achievement.
Along with sports, I am a member of various clubs in my high school’s community. In my junior year and now senior year I am a member of FBLA. From sophomore year to my senior year I have been an active member in the German club. Along with these two clubs, in my junior year, I was inducted into the National Honor Society. I am currently the sitting secretary of my high school’s National Honor Society chapter. These clubs have helped me become a better-rounded individual by introducing me to opportunities I would not have had if I did not push myself to succeed.
My personal interests are all over the map. I am an avid golfer and have been ever since the age of five. I would be greatly interested in being able to golf for your university. I am also interested in the outdoors. Ever since I was a child, I always enjoyed going fishing and just being active outside. Hanging out with friends is also a past time of mine and is something I am trying to do more of before we all go our separate ways after high school graduation.
