Cort Tunall '22 Recruiting Profile

My dream is to play competitive golf at a  university\college level, while completing my schooling somewhere within the sports/business field.  I am a team player, am coachable and have the passion for the game and many of the qualities it takes to excel in the golf world. I am quiet,  kind, patient, and competitive. I have the drive to be the best I can  be in all aspects of my life. I work hard for good grades, I am a great friend, and I have the grind it takes to get it done. I love to win. 

I started playing golf when i was 10 years old. My step-dad Rob taught me all about the sport and is a retired golf professional who took his schooling at San Diego State University while competing on their golf team.

Through playing the game of golf, I have learned that it takes patience, dedication, and commitment, all of which I strongly posses. 

Making Team Saskatchewan at age 15 was one of my greatest accomplishments. I travelled to New Brunswick for the Junior Boys National Championship and got some great experience competing at that high of a level. Stepping on the first tee at that event was much different than other events I have played on the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour over the last 7 years. I managed to shoot in the mid-70's range both days even with the increased nerves and pressure, Although I didn't make the cut, it was a great experience and taught me to keep working harder to reach my goals. 

I have recently been going to the gym 4-5 times a week to help prepare me for the coming up season, with the intention of playing golf at the college level.
