Personal Statement

I want to attend a college where I can pursue my career goals, and continue my journey with golf. I'm a responsible team player that abides by the ethical rules of the sport. I am a member of my high school beta-club where I have had the opportunity to contribute to service projects within our community. I'm not only a good student and athlete but also an overall good person that puts others needs before my own. I have been a member of my high school varsity team since 7th grade and quickly advanced to the number one position in a matter of two years. I have registered with the NCAA Eligibility Center and my ID is 2404265525. I am ranked 315 out of 530 as of 03/03/25 in the Heritage Classic Foundation Rankings, HCF, through the South Carolina Junior Golf Association. I am ranked 85 in the players series out of 131 as of 03/03/25 through the South Carolina Junior Golf Association. I am also playing in the US Kids Tour, Greenville Chapter, this spring along with my SCJGA and High School tournaments this year. In my first tournament with the US Kids I finished in 2nd. This puts me in 2nd for the tour championship.

This was a nine hole non-regional match on the par 36 front nine. I had a bogey on the last two holes. I Was a medallist in the match with a low score of 40.

I tied for second with an 80. The wind was gusting 25 mph all day. Made for hard conditions.

Fripp Island Junior Challenge

I had a slow start at Fripp Island Ocean Creek. I was 10 over after the first nine but I got my act together when I made the turn and shot even par on the second nine on day one for a total of 81. On day two it was a bit colder and the winds were 10 to 15 mph. I had a steady day shooting 40 on the front nine and 41 on the back for another 10 over. I finished the tournament tied for 39 out of 72. Overall I had a great weekend.

This is a great event honoring Bobby Donnellan. I shot 179 for the two day event and finished in 59th place.

Ford-Picard Christmas Classic

This special event combines a Parent-Junior and Junior stroke play memorializing 7 time SCGA Amateur Champion Frank Ford and World Golf Hall of Fame member and Masters Champion Mr. Henry Picard. This event is generously hosted by Wild Dunes! This was my first time playing in the event. I had such a great time playing with my dad. The first event my dad and I placed T2 in our division with a score of 71 on the par 70 Links Course. The second day I finished T19 with a score of 80. I had 3 birdies in the round. I will most definitely want to play in this event again. Such a great event!

This was a great tournament. I had 3 birdies in the weekend. I finished 70th out of 90 with 164.

I had a great time at this event with my friend playing with me. I had two birdies on the first day but a couple bad holes to shoot 83. Together we shot 79. On the second day I had an eagle and a birdie to shoot 78. Together we shot 73. It was a fun weekend.

Tri-County Golden Hills

I had a tough group today. I was in a group of three. One person refused to follow golf etiquette which made playing with him very difficult. The other was a player with special needs. I made the choice to stick with the slower player This took me out of my game. It was more ethical for me to not worry about my score and make sure my playing partner felt like he belonged. I shot 94. This put me T24 for the tournament. It also put me T14th for the Tri-County Season.

This is a very tight course. I had a couple of OB and one hazard on the first day to shoot 92. On the second day I had no OB and no hazards to shoot 84. I finished tied for 83rd at 176.

I had a great time at this tournament. First Day started tough with a 47 on the first nine. I followed that up with a 39 on the back nine for 86. The second day was rainy and cool. I shot 88. I have moved in the Players Series Rank to 99 out of 145.

I had a ruff start with a double on hole 1. Took and unplayable on hole 3. Went in the water on hole 7 to shoot 45 on the front 9. On the back I birdied hole 15 and was 3 over through 17. I doubled 18 to shoot 41 for a score of 86. That put me in a play off for all team with two others. In the play off I pared hole 1 with one other. On hole two I missed my putt to miss all team by one shot. Overall it was a good season and congrats to my teammate who beat me on the second playoff hole.

ActivitiesI read to elementary children at a local elementary school. I go with my church youth group and help at the local food bank from time to time. I help with a golf tournament for the local Boys Farm, an organization that helps troubled young men.
