Finishing inside the top ten as a freshman in the Tennessee State Tournament has been the highlight of my high school golf career, but I have definitely learned the most from failing to qualify for the State Tournament as a sophomore. This experience has shown me the importance of perseverance and having faith in your preparation and practice. Even though it was very disappointing to not make it to state this past year, this lit a fire under myself and my teammates to practice even harder and stay focused on our goals as a program. As an individual, my goals are to play golf at the college level and find a college that will enrich my academic career.
I learned the game of golf from my brother and I have some of my fondest memories golfing with him when I was still very young. After finishing my middle school career as a four-sport athlete, my love for the game had grown so large that golf soon took over the majority of my extracurricular activities in high school. I have learned a lot from golf. I have learned the importance of integrity and honesty, and I have learned the importance of patience. My golf team and other school activities have allowed me to cultivate myself as a leader, and I know that I can bring a sense of leadership and unfaltering work ethic and drive to your team!
