Rivers Veazey '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coach!

My name is Rivers Veazey. I am from Memphis Tennessee. I made this account because I am interested in the golf team your school has. I know that your team is very good and I feel like I would fit in. A little information about me. I am going into my senior year at Evangelical Christian School in Memphis Tennessee. Outside of Golf I have earned my Eagle Scout. I also have earned the Memphis Business Journal Award for the young men who matter which was very important for me to have been nominated for. I began playing golf during the summer of 8th grade and managed to make it onto my 9th grade golf team. The reason for that is because my father and my coach Vance Veazey helped me learn very fast. He played 4 years on the PGA Tour and 10 years on the Korn Ferry Tour winning 4 times. He helped me learn very fast and helps me grow as a player every day. I play for my golf team and compete on various Junior tours such as the Ajga, SJGT, USJGT, Sneds tour, and TGA ejects. I have played well in many tournaments. My personal top few are finishing 2nd at the United States Junior Golf Tour event in Memphis shooting 74 68. I finished 3rd at the Brandt Snedeker Tour event in Memphis shooting 75 71. I finished 7th at the Southeast Junior Golf tour event in Montgomery Alabama shooting 76 71. I also finished 6th last year at the Tennessee State Championship shooting 77 72. I feel like I would be a great fit for this school because of the fact that this team seem seems to be extremely determined to succeed. My personal goals are extremely high and I know that the only way that I can achieve them is to work extremely hard and be determined to get there. Personally I have not had the lowest scoring average this year being around 75  but I believe that if I continue to work extremely hard that the sky is the limit and that anything is possible. I still have my senior year left at Evangelical Christian school and from the end of July to the end of my senior year. I am competing in numerous Junior golf events across the states of Alabama, Missouri, Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Georgia. I look forward to hearing back from you and being able to personally speak to you about myself and learn about the program. Also I will keep you posted on all of my tournaments and the results I achieve!
