I had been playing baseball since age 7 but felt the team results did not reflect my talent. So I wanted to try an individual sport and chose golf. It was difficult at times because I loved playing with my friends, but I also liked the chance to have my performance speak for itself. I have been playing competitive golf for 4 years and have seen much improvement. In the beginning, I had 100 stroke rounds, but now I have brought that down to mid 70s and am placing in the top 3 in National competitions. I believe this shows my commitment to excellence and drive to succeed! I want to play college golf and then play professionally, so I practice 4-5 days a week and take lessons once a week. I think this is what sets me apart from some of my competition who have told me they don’t get that much practice time. My motto is #neverquit for a good reason; I am committed to be the best I can without regrets. This is why I feel I would be a great recruit for a college.
