I grew up in a small town in Guatemala and at the age of five I was already kicking the soccer ball on the field. In 2018, I came to the United States without the ability to speak fluent English. I started my education in the United States in 7th grade where I had to adapt to the educational system that differed from the one in Guatemala. Since being a student in the United States, I have been able to maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher in both middle school and high school. I strive in ensuring that I am able to obtain and maintain my grades. I feel that obtaining an education is very important to me, since I will be the first in my family to graduate from a university/college.
