My name is Phillip Hurtado I am 17 years old currently playing varsity golf for the third year at Wylie High School.
I transferred to Wylie after my Freshman year at Vanden High School in Vacaville, Ca where I was awarded rookie of the year on the Varsity Golf Team in 2016.
Upon my transfer due to a Military move, I worked vigorously and qualified for the Wylie Varsity Golf Team. The Wylie Golf team placed 2nd in district last season and placed 5th in regionals. I shot 89-77-75 in district and 75-77 in regionals.
The new season has just started and 2 tournaments have been played. Our first tournament was played in Lubbock, but our first day was cancelled due to rain. Luckily the course was fine the next day. We played at Ratliff in Odessa, Tx under ok conditions and I came in with a score of 78. Our second tournament was played at Diamondback here in Abilene, the first day i came in with an 84 but the second day I came back with a 76.
