I have been playing golf competitively since 7th grade. Since high school I’ve been very focused on improving all aspects of my game with the goal of playing collegiate golf. I am interested in finding a good college fit, and for me, that includes playing on a golf team. All of my coaches would agree that I work hard, and I never give up.
I have been fortunate to be a part of amazing golf programs that won State my freshman and sophomore year. Me and my teammates are currently working hard to get back to the State tournament my Jr. year. I have also had many disappointments in my golf game and it has made me stronger and more determined to keep working hard.
I spend most of my time between school, schoolwork and the golf course but I also have other interests. I work as an assistant coach to a junior golf league in the summer. I have been in Young Men’s Service League for 3 years and am Chairman of the Life Skills Committee this year. I have volunteered at a week-long summer camp for disadvantaged kids in my hometown of Dallas for the past two years. I also volunteer at my community public library. My sophomore year I earned the U.S. Presidential Service Award for my volunteer projects.
I was honored to be chosen to participate in the 2018 Pete Sessions Leadership and Growth Program in Washington DC and enjoy learning about national politics and government. I have also spent four weeks every summer since I was in 2nd grade at Camp Lonehollow. This allowed me to try many new things, become SCUBA certified and created many leadership opportunities where I was able to speak in front of over 600 parents and campers on more than one occasion.
I always make sure and fit in time to work-out. I enjoy weightlifting and I know the strength training helps me with my golf game.
I enjoy learning things and I’m looking forward to college. My goal is to play college golf at the highest level possible. I know I can be a contributor. My work ethic will ensure you get my very best effort and my coachability ensures that I will continue to improve.
