I am a senior at McNeil High School in Austin, TX. I will be graduating in June of 2019. After graduation I would like to obtain a great college education enabling me to reach my ultimate goal of becoming an architect. I am also passionate about the game of golf and would like to continue my golf education by participating at the collegiate level.
I’ve done well at McNeil High School academically currently have a 3.50 GPA and am in the top 25% of my class. My SAT test score is a 1280. I’m taking pre-AP courses and am working to get ahead in math and science as I enter college.
I am truly passionate about the game of golf and am working hard to get better and better. I’ve made year over year gains in my ability since my time in high school. I’ve grown up physically a bit in the past year as well which has enabled me to play stronger and longer. I’ve been on the Varsity of my high school team every year and am the number one golfer on the team. I now regularly shoot in the 70’s, have a good short game, and am working to take another big step forward. I have an established USGA handicap of 2.9. I took part in 16 tourney's this last summer achieving eight top three finishes and one first place win.
I also have my own YouTube channel called “Diego Courtney Golf” that I show videos of my tournaments or of me having fun with my friends. Please check it out if you have time.
