Jared Bray 2017Personal Statement
Thanks for viewing my profile. I'm currently the #16 ranked kid in Texas for 2017 by AJGA. The top 4 reasons you should consider me are:
1) Ability - I am one of the longest hitters in Texas. My swing speed and hitting stats are comparable to the PGA tour average. I average 185 yards with a 7i and 305 with my driver. However, my game is not limited to the long game. I have a putting green in my back yard and practice my putting each night.
2) Work ethic - I play every day and am always trying to better my game. I have a short and full swing coaches that I see almost weekly.
3) Experience - I regularly compete against the top competition in Houston, Texas, and the nation. Our team and high school district have had numerous college players and my game compares favorably. Our team has been the top team in the Houston region over the last decade and I was the #1 player and team MVP as a So. and Jr. I was district champ in 2016 and our team made it to state.
4) Team Leader - My teammates are my best friends. I regularly organize team activities and most weekends you will find us hanging out at my house.
I'm registered with the NCAA. I'm currently ranked ~600 in AJGA for all classes and am also ranked in Golf Weekly. I also compete in Legends, TJGT, USGA, and HGA events.
