September 2012Personal Statement
I am a senior at Plano Senior High School and play position 2 on the varsity golf team. I've been playing competitive golf for the past 3 years and my scores are in the mid-70's. This summer I played 20 tournaments and ended the season, with 5 wins and 15 top 10 finishes. My short term goal is to obtain a scholarship to play golf at the collegiate level. I intend to become the first generation college graduate in my family. I know I have the skill set to compete at this level. I have learned that athletic ability is just not enough. It takes hard work, dedication, and the desire to be the best. My long term goal is to become a Crime Scene Investigator. Although, I would be very happy in this field, I do hope this goal is put on hold while as I pursue my dreams in golf. I don’t want to be the guy to look back in life and regret never trying to achieve my dream.
