Travis Perkins '27 Recruiting Profile

I started walking with a golf club in my hand. My parents like to tell people that my childhood sandbox was filled with bunker sand, and it was. My dad was in the golf industry for many years and I grew up on the course. I am starting my sophomore year of high school and my 2nd year on the varsity golf team. My freshman season I earned a top 10 finish in nearly all tournaments individually and helped my team finish 1st or 2nd in our regular season tournaments. We fell short in our district competition but I put in a lot of work during the offseason and worked with my team to come back stronger this year. I have competed in many junior golf leagues including the PGA Jr. League, North Texas PGA Junior Tour, and the Junior Tour Powered by Under Armour. I have competed at both the local and national levels. I am looking forward to honing my skills over these next 3 years and earning a spot on a collegiate team and taking my golf career to the next level.
