Growing up, I spent countless hours on the course with my father during his tenure in the golf course management industry. I started walking with a golf club in my hand and my childhood sandbox was filled with the local golf club’s bunker sand. That is where my love for golf began. Since then, I have been committed to the dedication it takes to grow in the game of golf. My consistent, purposeful practice routines and intentional work ethic set me apart and will aid in my goal of playing collegiate golf.
I have now held 3 consecutive season roster spots on the Royse City Varsity Golf Team. My freshman season scoring average was 85. My sophomore season scoring average was 77, dropping my stroke average 8 shots. Alongside my mentors and swing coach, I have developed a purposeful practice schedule that I believe will continue to drop my scoring average in my upcoming my junior season. I believe my biggest strength is my work ethic and strive to be a better golfer and teammate every day. I continue to work on my mental toughness and seeking out opportunities to learn how to grow in the game. I am eager to advance to the collegiate level and learn to navigate the challenges that may bring.
At school, I enjoy assisting with the special needs student’s physical education classes, volunteering in activities that serve our community, and being a mentor for the underclassmen on the golf team. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, playing with my dog, going to NASCAR races, and fishing.
