Personal Statement

PERSONAL STATEMENT

I am a 5'11" right-handed golfer from San Antonio, Texas. Through hard work and dedication, I earned golfer of the year and 1st bag by my Sophomore year. My current scoring average is 72. I know that I have room for improvement and look forward to attending a college where my golf game can continue to mature. My dream is to be a professional golfer and I am willing to work hard to get there!

In addition to my athletic achievements, my cumulative grade point average is 4.11 out of 4.0. Due to my strong academic record and volunteer hours, I am a member of the National Honor Society. My goal is to continue playing golf at the collegiate level earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or Entrepreneurship. I prefer to attend college in a warm area so I can work on my game all year.

I had a really good first day shooting a 76. Although I made a mistake and scoped the green wrong which led to a triple bogey (a mistake I will never make again), I felt really good about my game. Today my irons were off and my short game was not at its best. I am glad I had the opportunity to play in this big event and learned so much.
