I discovered my passion for golf at the end of my eighth-grade year. Beginning my golf career at the age of fourteen is much later than a majority of golfers. I have spent the last three years devoting countless hours to learning techniques, developing skills, practicing, and competing have all made me into the person I am today. I would be a great candidate for your team because I am an honest and dedicated athlete who focuses not only on my success but on the success of my team. You will not find another athlete with more drive or focus than myself. I am on the golf course six days a week practicing, learning from other golfers, and competing with my peers. I believe I can never stop learning and trying to perfect my game.
The game of golf is my passion but I am also a very dedicated student. I have maintained all A grades throughout my high school career. I have also participated in dual credit classes in order to have a step up in my college academic career. I plan to pursue a degree in business because I know this will be a flexible and beneficial degree that will help me in both my professional and personal life.
Being a leader and a man of character are two of the most important traits that a player and team member can possess. I always want to play my best and be successful, but when my team is successful I feel full of pride and achievement. We know that without each other we would not share the success we have had over the past three years. As I begin my senior year in high school I have mixed emotions. I feel sad knowing it will be my last year, however, I am very excited to see what my future holds. I hope to continue my golf journey in college so that I can develop myself as a player and contribute to the success of my team and a collegiate program.
