My name is Jacob Cole and I am currently going into my Senior year at Tyler Legacy High School. I currently have a 3.12-grade point average but will strive my hardest to raise that average by the end of my Senior year. I am looking for a school with a great academic program and a team to join that is ready to compete.
I have been the number 1 player on the Tyler Legacy Varsity golf team since my Freshman year and will continue to be in that position this upcoming school year. I succeeded in making State this past year as an individual and shot 77-70 at a very challenging course. I work very hard on my golf game through my dedication to keeping myself in shape and practicing as often as possible. I've noticed a tremendous difference in my club head speed from my dedication to the gym.
My current scoring average is 72.3 and I am hoping to improve that greatly along with improving my discipline and desire in the classroom. I know the importance of classroom management and know that classroom expectations are the most important. I understand what will be expected of me in college and know what it takes to be successful.
Last August I was involved in a horrible vehicle accident that caused me to undergo facial reconstruction surgery. Due to this accident, I was unable to participate in golf for the rest of the 2021 school year. This did not hold me back but encouraged me to strive even harder to be the best I could be.
During my four years in college, I hope to be a part of a team that is ready to compete for a Conference Title along with a National Championship. I also hope to have a coach that has a passion for his players to succeed on and off the golf course.
