I hope to be able to complete a degree and play golf competitively in college.  I have dedicated many years to my golf game even dropping two other sports to focus on my game and become better.  I think I would be an asset to any team because of my dedication and effort.  Being part of a teams means we are better together.  We are a very close knit team that spend hours on and off the course with one another.  One of the best parts of my day is going to practice and working with my team.  Many people think that golf is an individual sport.  However, I know that if one of my teammates is having a bad round, it is my job to adjust my game so I can compensate for that score.  As a high school student there are many opportunities to fail or make bad decisions.  As an athlete, it is my job to be a positive role model in my school and show that making good decisions and being a good influence is better than following the crowd.  I have also decided to push myself academically.  I have chosen to take AP and Dual Enrollment courses to further my education and hopefully gain college credit while still in high school.
