July 2021Personal Statement
My name is Rishi Sundaresan and I am 16 years old from northern virginia. My golf journey started off as a simple goal to make my high school golf team. During my 8th grade summer i started of as a 26 handicap, I worked myself down to a 6 that same summer. After making my high school golf team I realized that I wanted to play golf at a collegiate level. Even with an extraneous golf schedule I am able to maintain a 4.0 gpa in school and participate in extracurriculars such as DECA ( Distributive education clubs of america) and FBLA (future business leaders of america). I believe that I am a good candidate for your college team because I am willing to outwork everybody. I have improved from a 26 handicap to a 1.8 in just over a year and a half and I intend to continue improving in order to reach my goal.
