I started playing lacrosse when I was 8 years old, when my doctor, John Farrell, told me about the local Dulles South Lacrosse league he helped start. I had been playing baseball for a few years, but once I tried lacrosse I knew that was my sport. I started out as a goalie, because no one else wanted to get in the goal. After that, I played some defense and attack for a while, but goalie was my position, so I always ended up going back into the cage, and there I stayed. I love being a leader of the team, and even though it's fun to score some goals, I like keeping them out much better. There is no better feeling than when you make a tough save and you know that you really made a difference for the team.
I have strong stick skills and quick hands, and move very well in the goal. I always work my hardest, and I am very coachable and am always looking to improve.
School and academics are very important to me - I study hard and get very good grades in advanced classes. I belong to several clubs in which we give back to the community, one being HOPE Club where we work with special needs kids and help them learn how to function normally in every day life.
I want to attend a college that challenges me academically, and where I can play lacrosse at the highest level of my ability. I am open to all options and hope to find a school that fits me well from an academic, athletic, and social perspective.
