I have multiple goals for when I reach the stage of playing college golf. I aspire to become a proffesional golfer and be able to compete on the top tours. With this, I see college golf being able to help me in improving to the best of my abilities and get myself game ready for the next stage once I finish my college education. I want to be able to do my best in helping whichever team I join to be competitive in as many events as possible and be able to have good individual results as well during these events.
I am a good candidate for the team because I am a team player and I work hard. I have played many team sports and even though golf is an individual sport, I will do whatever I can to help my team. If they need help with something, I will do so, and I believe that if my teammates are in need of something, they know that they can go to me for help. Another reason for why I am a good candidate to be a member of the team is because I love the game of golf. Everyone else trying to play college golf does so but I enjoy it a lot because of what it means to me. When I can play golf in the day, I am extremely happy and excited, when I am not playing I become antsy. If I am not with my family, I am probably playing golf. The game means a lot to me and it brings so much joy to me and my family.
I started off as a 14 handicap in the fall of my sophomore year and I enetered my junior year as a 4 handicap. I know I am not the most gifted or talented player but I knew that the only way I could be better than my competition, I had to be the hardest worker, and I can tell you there aren't many that work as hard to improve their game as I do.
What makes me different than other recruits is that I have an extreme focus on something that I enjoy. Being that it is golf, I have put a lot of effort to give myself any form of advantage I can get. I look at all kinds of statistics from the past 40 years to see what I can take from them. I have read many books on the mental game of golf, knowing that it is a very important, yet les talked about, part of the game. I have been lucky to be able to caddie for the European Challenge Tour and I try to take any kind of information I can get to improve from them. In academics I really enjoy learning about many different topics that interest me, be it history, psychology, geography, international politics and news. I look deep into books and documentaries to learn about many different cultures and people and topics so that I get a better undestanding of it and see if I am really interested in them. For character, I am extremely competitive. I try to do my best in anything that I compete in. I am a shy person although if you get to know me I am warm hearted. I do my best to act in a correct manner and in a kind fashion because I don't feel like there is any place for anything else in this world. I may be strong minded although I never try to do it to an extent that may seem ignorant or bothersome.
Hopefully this passage did not bore you to much and I would love to talk about being able to talk about representing your school and your team in the future.
